DHS Drama Club Wins at State Festival
Four members of the Dothan High Drama Club recently attended the Walter Trumbauer State High School Theatre Festival at the University of North Alabama in Florence.Lillian Walding received an Excellent rating for her musical theatre performance.Alexander Munoz, Riley Wilson, and Landon Thornton received Superior ratings for their performances.In addition to his superior rating, Landon received a PERFECT SCORE of 50 from both judges for his musical theatre performance. As a result, Landon won FIRST PLACE in his category!This was our first time attending this competition, and we are so proud of our students' accomplishments. -

Parking Permits
All students who will be parking on campus must purchase a parking permit for $20 and complete the Parking Permit Google Form. Please purchase parking permits using the link below:

Bus Form
Parents, if your child will be riding the bus to or from school during the school year, please complete the DCS Application for Transportation form and return it to Mrs. Waters in the guidance office as soon as possible.

Transcript Request Instructions
Dothan High now uses a program called Parchment to manage transcript requests. Parchment is an online tool that allows users to have official transcripts sent securely to colleges, universities, or scholarship programs.
With Parchment, you will visit the Parchment website, pay their ordering fee, and we will send the transcript where you request for it to be sent. Dothan High, Northview, and Virtual School graduates have separate links, which can be found on our website by clicking here.

GoFan Athletic Event Tickets
Tickets to Dothan High's athletic events may be purchsed online through GoFan. Click here to visit the GoFan website to purchase your tickets and see upcoming athletic events.
A link to the GoFan site has been added under Quick Links on the DHS homepage, and under General Athletic Information in the Athletics section of the website.

Student Enrollment & Withdrawal Procedures
Enrollment
Due to Covid-19, our enrollment and withdrawal procedures have been adjusted slightly. Please click the link below to print and complete the enrollment forms and instructions. If you are unable to print the forms, please email the DHS registrar, Mrs. Waters, or the head guidance counselor, Mrs. Bratcher, to arrange a time to pick up the forms. Completed forms may be emailed to Mrs. Waters (ktwaters@dothan.k12.al.us) or Mrs. Bratcher (cobratcher@dothan.k12.al.us). A $20 technology fee is due at the completion of student enrollment.
Withdrawal
Please print and complete the withdrawal form to withdraw your student from Dothan High School. If you are unable to print the form and instructions, please email the DHS registrar, Mrs. Waters, or the head guidance counselor, Mrs. Bratcher, to arrange a time to pick up the form. Completed forms may be emailed to Mrs. Waters (ktwaters@dothan.k12.al.us) or Mrs. Bratcher (cobratcher@dothan.k12.al.us). Please include a copy of the parent/guardian driver's license. After we receive a records request from the receiving school, we will withdraw your student and mail all paperwork to the receiving school. Please note that all outstanding fees must be paid before records will be sent.

DCS Help Desk
In partnership with Wiregrass Foundation, Personnel Resources, and local colleges to provide assistance for students/parents attending virtually this year, Dothan City Schools (DCS) is pleased to announce the launch of their Technology Help Desk. Through this partnership, local college students will be employed as part-time technicians to provide free technical support for virtual students who are having trouble with the hotspots or Chromebooks that were provided by DCS.

Dothan City Board of Education Approves Rezoning
At the February 20, 2024, Dothan City Board of Education meeting, the Board approved District Rezoning that will go into effect for the 2024-2025 school year to accommodate the changes approved in its short-term capital plan.

Dothan City Schools Board of Education approved the 2024-2025 School Calendar at their January 30, 2024 Meeting.

Dothan City Board of Education Approves Seal of Biliteracy
On December 12, the Dothan City Schools Board of Education approved the Seal of Biliteracy. The Alabama Seal of Biliteracy is awarded by the Alabama State Department of Education in recognition of graduating students who have demonstrated an intermediate level of proficiency in English and at least one other world language, including American Sign Language.

Dothan City Schools’ 2022-2023 School Report Card Released
The Alabama Department of Education released the Alabama State Report Card on Thursday, December 14, 2023, containing a letter grade for schools and school systems across the state for the 2022-2023 school year, including Dothan City Schools (DCS). Dothan City Schools received a “B,” which reflects several different factors including academic achievement, academic growth, chronic absenteeism, as well as graduation rates and college and career readiness (for high schools).

Officials from the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce and Southeast AlabamaWorks partnered together to present two area businesses with a Business Workforce Development Champion award.

Art Immersion with Butch Anthony
The Art Immersion Project with Butch Anthony is a high-profile project that will include hundreds of student-created artworks combined with a single Butch Anthony created sculpture to produce a large-scale installation to highlight the arts at Dothan High School and demonstrate the impact of collaboration.
