Dothan City Schools  promotes an environment where all colleagues are able to perform at their best and feel supported to do so. We recognise that differences and disagreements do arise from time to time and the ability to discuss issues openly and respectfully is essential to the well-being of our people and the success of the school and school system.

Wherever possible, an informal resolution of differences is preferable but a formal process is sometimes required to enable all parties to work together to find a mutually acceptable resolution. The formal policy and procedure hence exists to support colleagues in both raising and responding to grievances and encourages them to focus on perceived issues and behaviors and not the person or people concerned.

Grievances are typically resolved by either an informal or formal process. Below are forms that will guide you through the different methods of conflict resolution. If you have any questions, please contact the Human Resources Department at 334-793-1397 ext. 236252
