Miss DHS Pageant
The annual Miss DHS Pageant will be held in the DHS Convocation Center on Friday, March 3rd, at 6:00 pm.
The pageant is open to all ladies in 9th - 12th grades. Registration packets are available in the guidance office. All registration forms must be turned in by Monday, February 20th, to Mrs. Godwin at DHS or Mrs. Smiley at Carver 9.

Golf & Waffles
Mark your calendars to eat at Waffle House every Monday in February! Waffle House on Reeves Street will host a Spirit Night for the DHS Golf Team each Monday evening in the month of February.
Visit the Waffle House on Reeves Street (near DHS) and let them know you're supporting the DHS Golf Team, and a percentage of the cost of your meal will be donated to the team.

Tennis Fundraiser
The Dothan High School Athletic Boosters, the Dothan High Tennis Team, and Tri-State Tennis Academy are having a Spring Fling Fundraiser drawing.
Tickets are $20 each, and the grand prize is a four-day, three-night stay at Walt Disney World during spring break! Other prizes include generous gift certificates from area businesses.
The drawing will be held on Thursday, February 2nd, at 6:00 pm.

Choir Auditions
Auditions for Show Choir will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at 4:00 pm, in the DHS Choir Room.
There will be a mandatory clinic March 13th - 15th, from 3:30 - 5:00 pm, to teach students the chroeography and song they will need for auditions. Click here for more information and the application for Show Choir.
Mixed Chorus is availalbe for students who just enjoy singing! Students may sign up when they register for classes for the 2023 - 2024 school year. There are no auditions and no applications for Mixed Chorus.

Congratulations, Hannah!
Hannah Cooper, a sophomore at Dothan High School and a member of the Dothan High School Dothan Dynamics Show Choir, auditioned for All State Choir at the district level back in November. Following the auditions, she was chosen to participate in the Alabama All-State Choral Festival. The All-State Choral Festival is composed of outstanding vocalists from around the state of Alabama. This is a three-day event that culminates in a concert at the conclusion of the three day festival. This year the concert will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at the BJCC in Birmingham, Alabama.
Way to go, Hannah! We are so proud of you!

PAWS Club
If you are an animal lover, or if you know an animal lover, please share the PAWS Club website! PAWS is a service organization at Dothan High that is dedicated to educating others about animal issues and finding homes for homeless pets.

Parking Permits
All students who will be parking on campus must purchase a parking permit for $20 and complete the Parking Permit Google Form. Please purchase parking permits using the link below:

2022-2023 Bus Form
Parents, if your child will be riding the bus to or from school during the upcoming school year, please complete the DCS Application for Transportation form and return it to Mrs. Waters in the guidance office as soon as possible.

Transcript Request Instructions
Dothan High now uses a program called Parchment to manage transcript requests. Parchment is an online tool that allows users to have official transcripts sent securely to colleges, universities, or scholarship programs.
With Parchment, you will visit the Parchment website, pay their ordering fee, and we will send the transcript where you request for it to be sent. Dothan High, Northview, and Virtual School graduates have separate links, which can be found on our website by clicking here.

Student Enrollment & Withdrawal Procedures
Enrollment
Due to Covid-19, our enrollment and withdrawal procedures have been adjusted slightly. Please click the link below to print and complete the enrollment forms and instructions. If you are unable to print the forms, please email the DHS registrar, Mrs. Waters, or the head guidance counselor, Mrs. Bratcher, to arrange a time to pick up the forms. Completed forms may be emailed to Mrs. Waters (ktwaters@dothan.k12.al.us) or Mrs. Bratcher (cobratcher@dothan.k12.al.us). A $20 technology fee is due at the completion of student enrollment.
Withdrawal
Please print and complete the withdrawal form to withdraw your student from Dothan High School. If you are unable to print the form and instructions, please email the DHS registrar, Mrs. Waters, or the head guidance counselor, Mrs. Bratcher, to arrange a time to pick up the form. Completed forms may be emailed to Mrs. Waters (ktwaters@dothan.k12.al.us) or Mrs. Bratcher (cobratcher@dothan.k12.al.us). Please include a copy of the parent/guardian driver's license. After we receive a records request from the receiving school, we will withdraw your student and mail all paperwork to the receiving school. Please note that all outstanding fees must be paid before records will be sent.

DCS Help Desk
In partnership with Wiregrass Foundation, Personnel Resources, and local colleges to provide assistance for students/parents attending virtually this year, Dothan City Schools (DCS) is pleased to announce the launch of their Technology Help Desk. Through this partnership, local college students will be employed as part-time technicians to provide free technical support for virtual students who are having trouble with the hotspots or Chromebooks that were provided by DCS.

Dothan High School Senior, Michelle McCleod, named National Merit Scholar
A senior at Dothan High School has been named a Scholar in the 67th Annual National Merit Scholarship Program and has accepted a National Merit Scholarship Award from the University of Alabama. Michelle McCleod was among 16,000 Semifinalists nationwide who will had the opportunity to compete for some $30 million in scholarships.
