February Good Citizens
Kelly Springs Elementary School announces its Good Citizens for February 2022.The students, chosen by their teachers, exemplify good character and show respect to their classmates and teachers. They have been rewarded with a fieldtrip to the Wiregrass Museum of Art for a special art project and lunch that was graciously provided by Things & Wings on Highway 84 W.The students recognized were:Kindergarten: Lily Burgess, Maddox Cunningham, Elisa Durr, Morgan Hamilton, and Josiah Jackson1st Grade: Micah Cochran, Cooper Detter, Maria Hathaway, Ja’Kira Johnson, Maximus Reliford2nd Grade: Zhmello Johnson, Tula Marich, Gisselle McCoy,Narlin Ortega Sanchez3rd Grade: Jamarius Andrews, Mayson Black, Dakota Quarles, Da’shuna Venible4th Grade: Lucero Mendez Morales, Giancarlo Michael Perez-Munoz, Taveiras Rivers5th Grade: Malayjah Graham and Tristen Roberts6th Grade: Halei Griggs, Richard Le, and Dawson Thomley -
KSE is impressed and super proud of LinC's Stock Market Team. One team came in first place in the individual team competition and will win &150.00, and the combine teams came in 2nd place overall teams combined. This is over all the Alabama region participating in the fall Stock Market Game which consists of elementary, middle, and high schools. These students applied their high-order critical thinking skills they have learned in LinC to learn how to save and invest.

MONDAY: BRING IN OLD BOOKS AND SWAP FOR NEW ONES.
TUESDAY: WORK UP AN APPETITE FOR READING! STUDENTS WILL PARTICIPATE IN A BOOK TASTING EVENT TO EXPLORE A WIDE VARIETY OF BOOKS, AUTHORS, AND ILLUSTRATORS.
WEDNESDAY: STUDENTS WILL COLLECT NEW SOCKS TO DONATE TO OUR LOCAL HOMELESS SHELTER. ALSO, WEAR YOUR CRAZY SOCKS.
THURSDAY: STUDENTS WILL BRING FAMILY STORIES TO SHARE WITH THEIR CLASS.
FRIDAY: BRING YOUR FAVORITE BOOK AND BLANKET OR SUNGLASSES AND READ YOUR FAVORITE BOOK.

LOST AND FOUND
We have a multitude of jackets in our Lost and Found. If your child is missing a jacket, please have them take a look. Putting your child's name in their jacket will help us identify who it belongs to.
SCHOOL BUS REMINDER
It is a federal mandate that all students wear a mask if they ride a bus.
CARPOOL REMINDER
STUDENTS SHOULD ARRIVE BY 7:30 A.M.
This will allow enough time to get to their classroom. Students with excessive tardiness can be held for afterschool detention or the parent can be sent to truancy court.
