Thank you for visiting our portion of the Dothan City Schools website. We are committed to providing quality, accurate accounting and reporting of the financial transactions of Dothan City Schools. We are responsible for accounting and reporting of over $70 million dollars of financial transactions on a yearly basis. Dothan City Schools is accountable to many stakeholders - the citizens of the City of Dothan, public officials, such as the City of Dothan, the State of Alabama and the US Federal Government, our employees and most importantly our students. We strive to provide quality customer service and are interested in hearing from you on how we can improve.

Over the years we have and continue to try and improve how we provide these services to our stakeholders. Those improvements are - implementation of the State of Alabama Accounting System for Public Schools, implementation of a employee group life insurance program, implementation of a Section 125 cafeteria benefit plan for employees, a direct deposit system for employees paychecks, and implementation of web-based time and attendance system for non-exempt employees subject to the federal wage and hour law. During the summer of 2008 we implemented an online requisition/purchase order system, that has virtually eliminated paper and thereby saving the school system the cost of expensive multi-part NCR paper.
