Mrs. Amy Jackson

Mrs. Jackson is our Resource Specialist or LinC teacher, as she is often referred to. She grew up in Dothan from the age of 8, and attended Dothan City Schools, graduating from Northview High School. She received her Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education and her Master's in Gifted Education from Troy University. She is certified in Early Childhood, Elementary, and Gifted Education. She has taught 18 years, the last 7 being in Dothan City Schools. This is her second year at Morris Slingluff Elementary.

Mrs. Jackson states that her goal as a teacher is to help high ability students to be as successful as possible. She aims to accomplish this by collaborating with teachers so that students' cognitive and social emotional needs are accomodated both in the classroom and through the LinC enrichment program. 

When Mrs. Jackson is at home she enjoys reading, watching movies, cooking, and playing with her granddaughter. Mrs. Jackson is married with 2 daughters, a granddaughter, 3 dogs, and 12 chickens.
