• This year, our school was awarded a grant from the Dothan Education Foundation for a gardening project. We are fortunate to partner with Aunt Katie's Community Garden! Students from K-2 grades will visit the garden throughout the school year to learn about the process of planting, growing and harvesting fruits and vegetables. They will become risk-takers by trying new foods and inquirers by asking questions and seeking knowledge of steps involved from the farm to the table!

  • Girard Primary School is seeking authorization as an International Baccualaureate School. This process will take place over the span of three years. We are excited to incorporate the Primary Years Programme framework in our curriculum. Our first impementation piece has been to engage students in a daily morning meeting.
