KSE's Seussville Learn-a-thon was a huge success with parents, faculty, and students enjoying 7 Stations of learning FUN!. Station #1 I can Read with my Eyes Wide Shut hosted local celebrities as WOOF FM, Reginald Jones, Cat in the Hat, Mayor Mark Saliba, and DCS Superintendent Dr. Edwards. Station #2 Horton Hears a Who Students watched portions of this movie. Station #3 My Many Colored Days Brook McGinnis, art educator from WMA led students in a honeycomb bee art activity. Station #4 The Foot Book KSE's PE coaches engaged the students in soccer practice. Station #5 Bartholomew and the Ooblek Students made their own ooblek. Station #6 The Cat in the Hat Snack DTC Culinary Arts students helped students in creating a delicious and healthy snack. Station #7 The Lorax Students interacted in a conservation lesson on resources in our community and how to protect them.
Each hallway participated in a Dr. Seuss Read Across America decoration competition and the following were the winners. 100 Hall Ms. McHale's Room; 200 Hall Mrs. Fundum's Room; 300 Hall Mrs. Duebelt's Room; 400 Hall all three fifth grade classes won.
