Dothan City Schools Announces Military Appreciation Game for Dothan High School vs. Auburn High School
The Military Appreciation Game will take place on Friday, September 8.
DOTHAN, Ala. – Dothan City Schools and Dothan High School will pay tribute to the nation’s military on Friday, September 8 as Dothan High School welcomes Auburn High School to Rip Hewes Stadium for their Military Appreciation Game. Kickoff is set for 7:00 PM.
Dothan High School’s pre-game will include a flyover by a U.S. Army CH-47 Chinook helicopter from Fort Novosel following the National Anthem performed by Dothan High School’s Pride of the Wolfpack Marching Band. The pre-game begins at 6:20.
The flyover is provided by the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence at Fort Novosel, who provides United States and her Allies & Partners, with Highly Trained, Disciplined, and Fit aviation professionals – including Pilots, Maintainers, and Air Traffic Controllers.
Highlights for the game will also include Honorary Captains during the Coin Toss, Dothan High School will recognize members of Dothan City Schools staff who serve or have served in the United States Armed Forces, the local Army Recruitment Station will be passing out information to those interested in serving, as well as recognition of Soldiers from the 1st Battalion, 145th Aviation Regiment, Dothan’s Fort Novosel Community Partner.
Tickets for the game are available for purchase for $10 on GoFan’s ticketing platform, www.gofan.co as well as at the cash gate on the home side. Gates open at 5:30 PM.
