Dothan Technology Center Students Build Showers of Blessings
Dothan Technology Center students passed the keys to their Showers of Blessings project to The Harbor today. 🔑
The Showers of Blessings project was a collaborative effort across different concentrations at Dothan Technology. Students from programs like Building Construction, Graphic Arts, Welding, Engineering, and Education and Training came together to partner with Grandview Baptist Church and The Harbor to create a place that will serve the homeless community by providing more showers for more people in less time.
Through this project, students used the skills they learned in the classroom to apply them to a real-world project that will make a real impact in the Wiregrass. Plumbing, framing, lighting, installing, and graphic design of the logos were all done by Dothan Technology students. Additionally, students from other concentrations, like Business Logistics and Automotive Technology, provided toiletries and garments.
We at Dothan City Schools commend our Dothan Tech students' hard work for their dedication to the meaningful project that will significantly impact our community.
