Dothan City School named as a 2020 CLAS School of Distinction

Jerry Lee Faine Elementary was named a 2020 CLAS School of Distinction for the program, Bulldog Positive Behavior Supports.

Jerry Lee Faine Elementary School was recently named as a 2020 CLAS (Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools) School of Distinction for their program, the Bulldog Positive Behavior Support. This award recognizes school programs that serve as outstanding models for other schools in Alabama.

The CLAS Banner School program was created in 2001 to recognize schools in Alabama that showcase outstanding programs and services to students. This year 138 schools were nominated for the prestigious recognition with 120 applications submitted and thirty-one schools selected as the 2020 CLAS Schools of Distinction.

Jerry Lee Faine Elementary is one of four 2020 Schools of Distinction selected in State District 2. In May, the CLAS Banner School from each State Board District will be announced.
