Dothan City Schools' Assistant Superintendent of Auxiliary Services Completes University of Alabama's 2021 Superintendents' Academy

DOTHAN, Ala. – Dothan City Schools' Assistant Superintendent of Auxiliary Services, Dr. Debra Wright, recently completed University of Alabama's 2021 Superintendents' Academy. Dr. Wright was among 35 participants chosen to the 2021 Superintendents' Academy. By application and selection process with the University of Alabama, the yearlong training culminated September 28, 2021, with an awards ceremony and certification of completion of all requirements by the state of Alabama to serve as a school superintendent. The Academy is designed to develop the leadership, planning, and decision-making skills needed by results-oriented school leaders while creating a diverse pool of applicants ready to assume system-wide leadership positions.

The University of Alabama Superintendents' Academy is a collaborative effort between the Instructional Services Division of the Alabama State Department of Education and The University of Alabama College of Education's Department of Educational Leadership, Policy and Technology Studies.  More information can be found at http://uasa.ua.edu/
