Legislative School Performance Recognition Program

Carver School MST was recognized as one of the top 50 schools in Alabama for academic achievement by the Alabama State Department of Education’s Legislative School Performance Recognition Program.

Legislative School Performance Recognition Program

The program recognizes schools that have been ranked as part of the top 25 percent of schools within the state’s school grading system and accountability rules. The schools must also show progress by improving the school by at least one letter grade, as well as other criteria.

All public schools are eligible for the honor, which also includes financial awards dependent on the amount of money given to the legislative program. Superintendent Eric Mackey will then divide the funds to the schools on a competitive basis.
